Emmanuel is a water supply and sanitary expert with over 8 years technical and practical experience in the WASH sector. His expertise include Conventional water treatment processes and design, Water quality and laboratory analysis, Water Safety Planning, Water transport and distribution systems, Rain water harvesting technology and design, Household water treatment, safe storage and disinfection management, Borehole development and pump installation, hygiene promotion and community development, Industrial waste water treatment and effluent quality, urban and rural sanitation technology and design, construction and design of urban and rural sanitation facilities, Waste water treatment and sludge management, Biogas production technology and design, Sewage treatment and sewer network design, Advance oxidation & iron exchange technology, Municipal solid waste management, Compost and waste recycling technology, Community led total sanitation (CLTS), Project Management skills among other emerging water and sanitation technologies.

He also holds a MSc. Sanitary Engineering from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, MSc. Water Supply & Environmental Sanitation from Kwame Nkrumah’​ University of Science and Technology, Bachelor of Science Degree in Water and Sanitation from the University of Cape Coast, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’​, Basic Education and Teaching from Wiawso College of Education and later pursued a post-graduate project management program from the Institute of Project Management Professionals Ghana, where he was certified as Project Management Consultant.

Prior to joining Global Brigades Ghana, Emmanuel worked at Training Research and Networking for Development (TREND) as Water Supply/Sanitary Engineer, where he led a team of Engineers and other professionals to implement several governmental and non-governmental projects successfully in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). While in TREND, he was promoted to the position of WASH Project Officer based on his professional project management capabilities and experiences. Emmanuel has a nurtured passion, interest and motivation in WASH related projects, especially in organisations that have mandate close to his career goals and direct bearing in providing safe drinking water and access to improved sanitation facilities for the underserved communities and the vulnerable in society. He is married, committed to family life and blessed with two children.
